The Security Labs SLM446 8 channel surveillance system comes with everything you need to connect and operate the plug-and-play components in the box. The pentaplex DVR incorporates the latest dual stream H.264 video codec technology. Up to four times more video is stored on the same size hard drive as compared to previous models. Dual stream video processing records the highest quality video possible to the hard drive while adjusting the image compression to optimize the DVR's internet transmission speed. Smartphone monitoring, alarm e-mail with images, SMS text messaging with an image, or text only alarm notification messages provide maximum access and connectivity. Alarm notifications can be generated by video motion detection, or via any of the 8 alarm terminal inputs. The sturdy cast aluminum case turret dome cameras are tamper proof and have a 3-axis adjustable internal ball design. Both camera types can be used outdoors, with the bullet camera being better suited for outdoor use with its sun / rain shield and extended IR night vision, and the turret dome being more appealing for indoor use with its compact, stylish design and warm contrast ratio. Installation under an awning, eave, or soffit away from direct rain is always recommended for either camera model. The included Central Monitoring Station (CMS) Software gives you the ability to monitor up to 64 cameras on one PC screen, with video streaming from multiple Security Labs 250 series DVRs.
